write more on my blog. I usually just post my photos and call it good... maybe I throw in a quote or whatever but I never really write. Pictures are worth a thousand words right? But none of these pictures are ever of me so maybe that doesn't apply.

Anyway... I will talk about things that have happened recently.
Christmas is only a few days away!! I love Christmas. Christmas is the bomb. My mom did an awesome job decorating the house, no surprise, she has the best eye for that kind of thing. She should be an interior designer. We got a big Christmas tree that smells so good. I didn't get to go pick it out with them because I was working. Boo.
Speaking of working I work Christmas day. Oh the joys of I Hop. Anyone have a new job for me? but seriously.
It's tolerable, but the people I work with all have horrible language and talk about things i wouldn't talk about and i always feel uncomfortable. Yuck! And I don't get holidays off... that's really annoying. I can't even work at a higher-end restaurant because i can't serve alcohol!

My sister was telling me about this photography school in Santa Barbara. Brooks Institute. Oh how I would love to go there. I got excepted to UVU so I will be taking the spring semester. Orientation is January 5th or something, I have to check.

This first one is a photo I took for my film photography class at school. I don't usually like shooting in film as much as digital. Digital is much more simple.These next two are drawings in a couple of my sketch books. The first one's obviously not done, but about 90% of the drawings in my sketch books aren't done so whatever. This is a project I did for AP photo. All the pictures on there are taking with my film camera. The rest is paint rice paper etc.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire with my mom and little sister like last weekend or something....
Wow.... that's all I have to say.... it was AmAZiNG!!!! I absolutely LOVED it.

I definitely recommend it. I'll probably go see it again with Clark or something because he hasn't seen it yet.

The acting is phenomenal and the story is so cool.... and the music... oh my goodness... I'm listening to the soundtrack right now actually....

I had a really strange dream last night.

Lately every single night has been filled with random detailed dreams.

Some are disturbing, (the other night I had a very detailed dream of a guy stabbing some girl outside a college campus.. yeah I don't even know) some just, random.... (I was in Antarctica jumping off a huge ice cliff into icy water where a HUGE blue whale lived, them climbing out of the water to go hunt moose. The scientific name for moose by the way is Alces Alces. Yeah I'm going to use the things I learn from wildlife biology forever.)

Anyway last night I had a dream that I was at the beach taking engagement photos of this couple that were wearing like striped stockings and long sleeved shirts of red and green. I was so frustrated that they were wearing that. I also was running out of light and I was anxious to use all the techniques I learned in Vegas. Then my art teacher Mrs. Crane came out of nowhere telling me she wasn't supposed to let people take pictures on school grounds but since she liked me she would let me do it anyway.

That's it. Everything was so detailed.

As long as they don't turn brutal I'm fine with all these weird random dreams. They're kind of fun.

Because my mom is awesome she got herself and me tickets to the WPPI Photography convention in Las Vegas!
We got here yesterday, checked in then got tickets to The Blue Man Group. I was feeling kind of dizzy but it wasn't so bad I didn't want to go see the show. So we got the tickets and then went to go eat at the Studio Cafe in the MGM (where we're staying) I was hungry and got a huge hamburger and fries... that was the wrong decision... I ended up having to bolt back to the hotel room and throw it up in the sink.... nice, I know.
So after I threw up I felt a little better, so we went to the show after realizing we couldn't get our money back. It was cool, but not cool enough to spend what we spent there.... We also left early because I was feeling too sick.
Today was better.
We woke up, went and got our passes for the convention, ate a quick breakfast at McDonald's (we obviously watch what we eat in this family) then went to our first class. We were an hour early but turns out that was a really good thing because it became packed and the usher guy ended up kicking a lot of people out... who weren't very happy about that. The classes were two hours long each. The first one was on posing and posture etc. the second (my fav. of the day) was a photoshop/lightroom lesson kind of thing.... so cool. Frank Salas taught that one and I loved his photos.Anyway Vegas is cold, but fun!
There are some weird people here though... wow.... the things you see when you leave little ol' Utah.

I am to share a favorite childhood memory.

There are so many but I remember when I was little T.J. and I would play these imaginary games, that we thought were so fun. We would get so into them. They required the crazy fun imaginations little kids have. We would throw blankets around our shoulders as capes, and use the whole house/yard as the village, or whatever the game was. We would sometimes continue the same story each time we played. T.J. was usually always "King Cherry" the main bad guy. Yes T.J. came up with that one.... creative, I know. We laugh about how serious we were in those games, so terrified of "King Cherry".

I miss having that fun, vivid imagination little kids have.

1. When I'm at school and I'm walking, and there is someone I can't get around that is walking super slow, or when they suddenly stop to talk to their friend or something. Having developed a fast stride keepin up with my dad all these years, that bugs.

2. People who find it easy just to lie to someones face.

3. When someone interrupts me mid-story. Anyone who knows me will tell you how bad I am at telling stories.... I get distracted really easy and I have to focus really hard to get through a story, so when someone interrupts... that really bugs.

4. Mean people. Why do some people find it necessary to just be mean....? I dunno.

5. People who say they won't do something, but then do.... or the other way around, when people say they will do something and then don't....

6. People who are mean to my family... I don't put up with that. :) Ask them, they'll tell you.

7. Annoyingly opinionated people. I'll stand up for my opinion and talk about it with who ever talks to me about it, but I'm not going around shouting it out and trying to prove everyone wrong... yuck.

8. Uptight people. I'm generally pretty laid back, so people who take everything way too seriously get on my nerves.

9. I'm going to have to agree with Krista on this one. Liberal mormons.

10. Girls who try to hard to be something they're not.

The lucky number is..... 19!!!

so in honor of this number I will list 19 things I love about her!

1. She is such a positive person! I love hanging out with her because no matter what problems she has, or what hard times she's going through, whenever I see her she has a smile on her face.

2. She is a very true friend. I know she would do anything for her closest friends and loves them so much.

3. She loves to workout and be active!! Something I seriously need to learn to love... It's OK though, she keeps me in line. :)

4. She is very honest. She will tell you how it is and what she thinks.

5. She's very original and unique. I've never met anyone like her. She is her own person.

6. She found Just Dance bye Lady GaGa haha. Yeah, she's a trend setter.

7. She has a huge heart and always looks at what's on the inside of a person before the outside. I can't say I know that about very many people.

8. She loves to try new things. She's up for any challenge and any new activity she can try.

9. She makes me laugh. She can be so goofy that even when I'm in a bad mood I can't help but laugh.

10. She is a very motivated individual. She works hard and is very responsible.

11. She let's me take her picture and is an awesome sport about it. She lets me try whatever weird idea I have. Not only that but she helps out too!

12. She is one of the least dramatic people I know. No drama with Heidi. I can't tell you how nice that is.

13. She loves her dog Comet.

14. She has a feeling about her that is just so relaxing and very refreshing... but don't let this fool you, girl knows how to party.

15. See 14..... Heidi knows how to party.

16. She doesn't dwell on her mistakes, she moves on and learns from them. I look up to that example a lot.

17. She's very supportive, always giving advice when needed and helping out with problems her friends may be having.

18. She's spontaneous, she loves to go do random fun things.

19. She gets scared very... very.. easily..... she's quite the pansy. :)

My friend Kenny's dad opened his sushi restaurant The Blue Fish yesterday so me and Sadie went to the opening party. I called Lauren, and so she came too, sinse she lives way close to the restaurant she was there in like 5 minutes! It was so fun!! All you can eat sushi and this weird ice cream stuff that was not very good, but the sushi was delicious.

I don't think I've been around so many asians in one room.

Now I'm just enjoying my day off.

It was alright. I had to keep separating it from the book because I did not picture Edward at all the way he is in the movie. Not only his look, but his voice, and how in the book he teases Bella playfully and is more... smirky (is that even a word?) in the book. That was something that really attracted me to Edward in the book. I liked Bella but she was too... timid or something... I'm not really sure what it was but the whole movie was just sort of... too serious maybe. The book was so much better.
One part that I really did like though was when Edward drives Bella to school for the first time and they get out of the car and he's wearing a leather jacket and those glasses... mm yum. And how he just put his arm around her. That was pretty hot.
So I would say it was just ok.

It's The Freakin Weekend Baby I'm About To Have Me Some Fun.

So this weekend there was the Alta play-off game at Rice-Eccles Stadium. We won. of course.
I love cotton candy!

So does Ashley and Brittany. Saturday was the "Cosmic Fever" dance. It was a blast! For the day activity we did a scavenger hunt and had to go around making complete fools of ourselves. Which is always fun right?

We split up into two different teams, in two different cars. My team included myslef, Tyler, Brittany and Rourke, and Ashley and Drake.

This is my date, Tyler, paying for 5 cents in gas. The guy didn't want his picture taken haha. Me and the girls had to knock on some random person's door and ask to use their bathtub and sing the rubber ducky song in it. I was a little afraid some big bald guy in a wife-beat holdin a bud light would come to the door, but luckily for us it was two cute little girls who answered the door and their dad. The dad was so nice and the girls thought we were pretty weird but funny.... which, ya know... is true... we think we're funny anyway... We also had to do some chinese fire drills. We went to a tie store and had to try on tiesWe rode bycicles at walmart.We picked out clothes for our dates to wear...

So Cole, Joe, and I just got back from Eagle Eye and let me tell you what.

I loved it!

It was so suspenseful. I was tense through the whole movie. The whole time I was thinking about what I would do in the situation. If you want a good action movie I'd say this one for sure.

Oh, and I love Shia Labeof. Something about him is so attractive to me. Yum.

Homecoming '08

Our group was Joe and Ashley, and then me and C0le. For our day activity we went to Jump On It, this place where there are trampolines everywhere! I learned I should probably go to the gym more because this morning I woke up and was so sore I could barely move. All from jumping on tramps for an hour. Yeah I know. I'm so in shape.

Anyway after that Cole dropped me off and I went to go get a pedicure, which was interesting because there was this really hairy, really bald, chubby old guy who was in the chair next to me getting his toe nails done too. I felt really bad for the poor Asian lady who was given the task.

When I got back from that I got ready for the dance. My mom did my hair. So nice!

Once Cole picked me up we went to the nicest restaurant ever! Cachino Tiscani? I think that is the name. The food is SO good. Walter, the owner of the place, was so funny. He walk around checking on the food with his thick Italian accent.

Then it was the dance!

Thanks mom for paying for everything and being so helpful!

We have a new assignment in photo and I'm really excited about it.
We get to choose a model we want to do a portrait of in the studio.
We also have to take different pictures of different emotions and all this other stuff.
I'm really excited.
I hope they turn out. Someone took out my last roll from the wash while looking for their film.
Yeah, I was really annoyed... they didn't get completely ruined but they didn't turn out the way I wanted...
But I'll make sure that doesn't happen this time!
I just need to find a model...
